Golden Tiger Poker is proof-positive that you can belong to an oversaturated network (Prima), using over-hyped software (Microgaming), and still provide your members a unique, compelling environment.
Over the years, traffic at Golden Tiger Poker has grown wildly, from a few hundred at any given time to a few thousand. This is obviously the result of having a shared player base with the entire McDonald's-esque Prima Poker Network. Many players at Golden Tiger Poker are actually casino gamblers taking a brief respite from Golden Tiger Casino, which gives even the intermediate poker player here a decent advantage.
On the downside however, their tournament schedule is a bit screwy, and their noncommittal promotional terms and conditions leave a bit to be desired (ie. many prizes are unlisted, and many other "regular" promotions come and go rather erratically). It's a prettier "skin" of the Microgaming software, for sure.
But I'm not altogether convinced that that's enough to raise Golden Tiger Poker above the other slew of poker rooms out there, particularly the ones outside of Prima's monopolist grip.
